I'm a standard (common) ol' hen. Nothing exotic about me at all. It is a great puzzle to me that beads, glitz, dimensional texture, and skewed shapes have such a draw. But I do like it. Perhaps it is just the way the paths thru the farmyard evolve as they pass thru the various areas and thru the various seasons of life. But I do like it.

CHICKEN SCRATCHES
The first moment I saw altered books I was intrigued! The idea of
taking something I luv, books, and making them mine just gives me a warm
fuzzy feeling. I did not know my maternal grandmother but my mum gave
me a book that belonged to my grandparents. The title says Report of
the 1880 1881 Minister of Education Ontario. My grandfather, a farmer,
was involved with schools somehow. My grandmother has pasted newspaper
clippings onto the pages; poems, little stories, small jokes. The
first clipping is "The Dear Little Wife at Home". I can know this
woman!The basic How To's are under tutorials but the journey, the delightful journey, will be found in here; my sketches, my searches, my surprises, and my serendipities.
