I have far too much fabric to even think about NOT making quilts. I began to quilt in the mid eighties and I have a very long list of quilts I'd like to make. Quilting has helped me to understand more about myself. With all the choices of colours, styles, techniques and options I have had to realize that I can't do it all but I've had to analyze what it is I'd most like to do. Sometimes I had to learn through the making of various quilts what I actually don't like. My quilting has evolved from meticulous copies and 'tradition with a twist' to improvisational.
I quickly discovered I am a machine person. While I do enjoy hand applique I prefer to do my piecing and machine quilting on my domestic sewing machine. Time being what it is I'd like to learn to do machine applique as well.
