Never too hot for coffee!

It has been hot, humid and hectic.

With a few surprises!  I've signed up for an on-line class on colour journaling and one on blogging/writing.  I won a great give away.  I'm gathering in some cool supplies and a couple of new books.  And with every reorganization of the playroom/studio I'm getting closer to understanding how I work and what I like to work with.  This helps me identify my style which is like coffee. There are some specifics related to flavour, favourite cup, and definitely ambiance.  I don't mean to tease but it has also been hectic.  I've been short on coffee breaks but perhaps I can update with a Saturday post.

I'm hoping for a coffee break in the midst of a busy errand day.  It won't be iced coffee, but straight up.  Bold, black and hot!

Congrats on winning Seth's DVDs. I would give my teeth to have a look at them. What an amazing win. Sadly, my art money goes to the USPS this month, so I'll just hope you share some of the techniques he uses in his book/DVD. I would LOVE to find out how he makes those awesome backgrounds.

Sorry I've been absent. I've been trying to get ready for the "Where Bloggers Create," which begins today. I saw the Girly post and loved the mannequin. And of course, your use of a magazine may be the way to go for some art I want to make. You are a great influence!

Congratulations on your wonderful win! Never too much inspiration as it leads us to finding such joy in creating. Hot coffee on a hot day should really cool you off...like wearing long sleeves to keep the warmth of the sun off of us. ;-}
Enjoy your weekend dear...

Elle, I love the soft and subtle colors in your first image! That beautiful pink with the filter and as a pocket...ADORABLE! The second image I luv as well because that black/white floral piece under the top layer looks fabulous against the orange hues with black. It reminds me of autumn. YOU ARE ROCKIN'!!!
