off and run... make that raining

I'm in a bit of a blue grey funk!   More rain.  More cold.  I have turned on the furnace and the lights!  I was telling the Rooster that I feel like a dog chasing its tail.  And I'm getting about as far along.  LOL

So to get some warm sunshiny sprints happening ...

I've kept the birthday girl.  Jolina is two.  Quite different from her sister.  She will be the domestic type.  Maybe a quilter!!!

We are getting our work duds on and planning our projects.  She is here for day one of a change in menu planning.  We will be making further reductions in eliminating processed food and getting back to a balanced metabolism. That should take care of the highs and very lows of sugar swings.  Then to stop the great desire to start something/anything new I'll focus on sewing those half square triangles I've finished cutting.  I'm thinking it might just be the week to read my working in a series book.  I can apply that to sewing, sketching, journaling and just about all that is on my mixed media mind.  Maybe I can at least get a bite of that tail! :)

No matter the greyness of the outside, inside we will be thinking warm and bright happy thoughts!  We are off and running! :) :)

Maybe I'll move back home. It is so hot here in northern Alberta. We are daily breaking heat records and it has been so long since we have seen any rain a forest fire starts every time a squirrel burps!

what a little ray of sunshine you have there! Hope the day goes well for you and the rain and grey makes way to blue and sun.

Happy Birthday Jolina. Hard to believe she is already two! Looking very adorable I might say. Rain and cool weather would be so very welcome here as we are dying in extreme heat and drought! Don't get dizzy while chasing that elusive tail dear...

The weather has been unpredictable here too! One day hot,hot hot and humid with storms (blah headaches) and the the next cool then hot again.it is the rain storm systems that do me in...add a bit of tension in the clan and down my energy goes.
I too am borrowing children to boost my mood. Mine are my great nieces aged 13 and 10.
Auntie Jo is teaching them to sew and they are having a ball. And so is Auntie Jo.
I haven't been checking blog land as much but it seems as if you have kept busy. You will love the foam design wall. It works great!
Maybe we should just take out our boots and go play in the rain?

If you figure out how to get a bite out of that tail, let me know. In the meantime, enjoy having such an adorable helper.
