It depends...

on the light.  I'm not talking about the time change althought the Rooster has had a hard time adjusting his early morning crow.  He rather liked going to work in the light and we are back to dark.

Which is what the new paint job portrays.

The glaze is a bit of brown in a whole lot of clear!  It depends on how the light touches it and I do like the changes.  The Rooster likes it in morning light!  I made him get his ruffled feathers and coffee cup out of the way.  He is still looking for his favourite roost!  lol

More touch ups, trim, and then the floor.

Morning light!

And how do you like my new poster boy???

Beautiful! I'll bet it is warm and cheery in the morning light. A lovely way to start the day.

i'd say he's adorable... but somehow that description just doesn't quite fit! He's looking dapper! Just like A Rooster should! The colors DO look Great!

Oh Elle this is too funny...but I am certain not to the Rooster. He looks right at home on top of the ladder with the morning paper and cuppa coffee. Love the fresh new sunshine colors. Happy Sunshine Smiles Dear...

Love the glaze!! It glows with warmth after the sun has moved through. The ceiling looks great as well! The poster boy? What a cutie!!!

This looks a bit like a technique I tried awhile back using clear glaze and three different colors (monochromatic). Lovely choice for making your home warm and cozy.

This light differences in the paint reminds me of my year working in a Waldorf School. Our son attended Gr. 9 in Nelson Waldorf School and this is similar to the painting style they do in all their buildings. Lovely work, and yes, your rooster is very much like mine!! lol.
