This was a previous WIP that I got lots of help with. Cheryl's suggestion that the circles may not even show on the background halted me in my tracks. I thought yippee, I'm done. Then I decided to whip up a little quiltlet to see. hmm, I may be making circles yet.
yes, no, maybe so???
The original post on finding the mystery blocks I made WAY back when are finally up on the design wall. The WIP post where we discussed options was very helpful and a general consensus was reached. I'll be sewing all the various setting triangles and arranging the sashing and cornerstones in a pleasing way. One comment cautioned about losing the whiteness that is in some of the blocks and that was excellent and I will be watching to keep that. Thanks Lotje!
My project (s) await. But first I need to go see what everyone else is up to Please join me over at Naptime Quilter and let's see what everyone is working on.

I love those circles, Elle! I think they show up fine!
oooh I love that big quilt! All my favorite colors. Great pattern. ; ) My home is all warm colors and wood, so if you don't have a home for it when you're done... hehehe

I love the circles too, Elle! They look great and your large quilt is just gorgeous!
Yes, the circles really do look good on your happy orange quilt. I lost whatever you are doing with the large quilt but I know you will finish your wip and it will be fabulous. Happy stitching with Nina...
I love the orange and pink combination. And the large quilt is going to be beautiful!
Those circles are going to be fabulous! Aren't you glad you tried that out!?! And I love the border on your large quilt, that is coming along very nicely.
Complete round circles or spirals would be great. I would use a thinner wt thread to create texture rather than making it stand out.
