wow working on strings and knots

The April Showers wall hanging has all the strips joined together.  The seams are pressed open and I think it is wide enough.  I trimmed the length and dug out the batting and a possible backing.   Next will be some diagonal lines to portray rain.  I hope it doesn't distort.  This is even more low volume than it shows but I'm liking it.

I did get the French knots on the Rose of Sharon block finished.  The next block has a lot of fiddly pieces so I need to get a head start on it.  May baskets!

And here is the modified Irish Chain up on the wall.  I'm deciding if it is the right shape although I had no more background fabric so it is what it is!

I wonder if the TN&TN gals have any knotty problems to work out!

Beautiful...each and every stitched piece of fabric! April Showers is soft and really holds my attention. Your rose applique is stunning! Irish Chain is like the building blocks and ladders of life...always going up or down...love it! Very Creative Bliss Dear...

Your "April Showers" piece is coming along very well. If you've pressed it well and basted it well...I think diagonal stitching will be okay. If you think the fabric (or at least some of it) is flimsy, you might give it a spritz of "Best Press" (a very light starch-like product) while you iron it, before sandwiching...

And I really like your modified Irish Chain. It looks great on that wall...though perhaps a bit higher to carry the sight line along the top of the windows...?

For some reason I always have difficulty with French knots. I think my brain is missing a "knot" function. I can't wait to see the "rain" on April Showers. I'm sure the effect will be just right. Your Rose of Sharon block is lovely and the Irish chain looks wonderful, especially with the white tulips.

I adore your Irish chain. I saw it earlier, and I adore it. I especially like it where you placed it.

The Rose of Sharon turned out lovely, too. I have several of those bushes/trees in my yard and they sure don't look as good as yours. Also, am looking forward to seeing April Showers completed.

Thanks again for visiting me, even when I haven't had time to visit you. Your friendship means the world to me.

All three projects are lovely - the Irish Chain variation looks fantastic on the yellow wall.
