I do really like to make my own journals. Lots of creative play time!
But, I don't seem to have as much fun filling them. I can't find one, even a bought journal, that is actually finished. Half way is the most I can do and the fun left about a third of the way through. hmmmm
The Rooster wanted a chocolate cake. So Monday I pumped myself up to get creative!
Then I turned to the cook book (journal?) I'd made for my gluten free recipes and...
VBSigh- Its not finished either. I Googled and the resulting recipe had to be modified as I had no baking cocoa. I'm not a very creative cook/baker modifier. Although the Rooster ate it I'm deciding whether or not to add it to my book. :(
I attended the local craft show a few weeks ago and I did notice that in the midst of all the multitude of 'Buy Me' items there was definitely a lack of cards, stationary, and note books! Aha! Happiness just may be making journals rather than filling them. Now that would make me happy!

How very observant of you to notice the niche for your wonderful journals. I am not one to fill them either. Chocolate cake sounds really good. Sharing Joy and Peace...
as I was reading your post I was thinking you should be making those journals for others as they are always so beautiful. I think you have found a way that you can continue with the fun stuff, if you so choose!
I really like making journals too. They are a bit labor intensive and can be expensive, depending on the paper used, which I wonder if people appreciate when it comes time to buy one. I think it would be fun to try and see how it goes. What kind of paper are you using for the inside pages? I've been using watercolor paper. I haven't made that many five or six, I think, I need more practice for sure. I'm gluten free, too, but I cheat and use boxed mixes!
I love homemade journals but never make them. I have noticed that some of mine tend to be about 3/4 full too before moving on. There's just something about the lure of a new one.
