I can't wait...
I have joined an online course that Kathy Shaw hosts. I will be learning to embellish a crazy patch block. I hope! I lost my stuff with the switch to the new computer and then I had to gather all my supplies. They aren't quite all gathered but I believe I have enough to commit. I am up to task 3. I was so glad that my old hoop was one of the ones recommended and I covered it nicely with a thin batting. I have oodles of fabric and I thought piles of silk ribbon and threads but I might need to check the ribbon sizes and some thread options. I will be looking for better needles. I will also be looking for a couple of small embroideries. I see that Winnipeg has at least one specialized embroidery store or else it'll be on line shopping for me. It is time to make my Big Dream a reality. I can't wait!

wow, running with the stitch
It is WOW, what is off my worktable!
I used the KISS approach and went for an envelope finish and straight line quilting. Done.
And in use. I'll be changing to my winter decor very soon but it made an appearance for the cozy coffee theme. :^)
This is a close up of the runner which I did first and sparked the simpler approach. I was off and stitching and congratulating myself on a fast finish when I stitched through my thumb. Pure dumbness but further confirmed I am out of practice and need to keep things simple until I ramp up to full speed. :(
The Needle and Thread Network are no doubt making lots of finishes also.

wow, I still have to shop.
I haven't quite got Nina humming.
The orange top needs some more orange fabric options which will happen tomorrow.
I did find in my cleaning and organizing another wip. Two in fact.
A table cloth, about 42 inches square
and a table runner, 10 inches by 30 inches. Who knows when I did them but they are ready for layering.
I did find some backing options and one WILL definitely be the backing.
I am leaning to the middle fabric. The fabrics in the upper right are too small. :( The grey/brown on the left has to be from the first year I was quilting. oye!
But I need a dark brown (?) for a binding so my shopping list is growing.
This was in my crazy patch days. Not where I am at now but definitely worth finishing. I have one of those small round tables with the long floor length table cloth in the dining room and the toppers add to their appeal.
I'm not at all sure how I will quilt it. ???
Perhaps some of participants in The Needle & Thread Network will have some great ideas!
