So, once again I am thinking about how to do things better, the black and the white of it. First I need to firm up my boundaries. NO MORE NEW PROJECTS! vbsigh Indeed, this is hard. Creativity is all about those bright ideas.
Then I need to check over all the projects I do have. I have culled heavy in the past so now I'm just left with- finish them!
So What's on my Worktable Wednesdays will alternate with Wrap Up Wednesdays.
This week I want to get my veranda quilt quilted. It is lap size and I'll be using my walking foot and quilting straight lines. Nina is revving her motors as I type! It will be an excellent start. WOW 1
See you for WOW 2 next week!

It is so difficult to work on just one thing at a time. I have friends who do just that. And I have scattered projects, starts and not many finishes. If there is a way to contain it and you find it let me know. lol
I am enjoying reading your blog very much!
The colours of your veranda quilt are great and it will look fantastic when done! I think we all have had creative bursts of fabric buying!
Wrap Up Wednesday alternating with Worktable Wednesdays sounds like a great idea because technically you have longer to work on your WIP and maybe get a FM (finished make)...it's all a mental state of mind thingy...can you tell I procrastinate much:) I'm almost finished my current WIP but it's halted to a stop for a bit:(
I love the look of that veranda quilt. And your veranda garden from last post. I hear you on the finishing, I struggle with my chronic case of startitis.
Don't get too organized...what fun would there be in that? LOL. Organization is one of those things where a little can go a long way! It is nice to get projects finished, however.
'get r dun!'
Creativity is all about the Aha ideas we have and the beginnings of projects. Sometimes finishing is not what it is all about. Setting boundaries and priorities is important however being flexible and letting things go is more important in my mind. We creative types do not want to get squelched. I like "Wrap Up Wednesdays". I hear Nina revving...your quilt is Summer Sunshine dear...
I can understand how we all want to start new projects, but once in a great while, it is good to follow up on a few until they are well practiced. Of course, my advice would be like the pot calling the kettle black.
There seems to be a fine line between starting too many projects and stifling our creativity by insisting on finishing everything once it got started.....good luck to you.
What great colours for your verandah quilt! And sometimes having a new project is just what is needed for a burst of creative energy.
I have a difficult time sticking to something when something else is calling my name and even more difficult time going back to that first project ;-0 Your quilt will be lovely!
you will succeed! Nina will see to it for you! That is a very pretty veranda quilt and needs to be out there on the veranda! (I'm with you, though, it is hard to not start the new bright and shiny project!)
I love starting new projects too, but it is even more satisfying to look at a project and say, I'm done and I love it! Not a bad idea to go back through and finish things up!
I buried myself in new projects. I'm starting to just put the details of what great idea comes to mind down on paper so I can finish the umpteen projects I have started prior to getting to it. Too many ideas, not enough time!
