I'm not sure if I had my reading glasses on or not but I didn't read the homework for lesson 8 very well.
This is my theme book on leaves. The colour wheel could have been done in leaves but I didn't think of that until after I saw an advertisement in the health food magazine with all these packages. They don't quite have all the colours but it somewhat fits leaves as fruit and nuts are not too far from the original source!
These pages aren't finished yet and I expect to go through the book after the lessons and pull them all together because I'll have a better understanding of all we've been studying.
Then we were to do spreads on colour. I chose warm. I'm thinking I'd also like less shine.
And cool. This doesn't feel real chilly. I'm indeed learning things.

You keep practicing and experimenting which is, indeed, how we learn. I am so impressed with your dedication. We call it play but for our (mine, atleast) brains...it is WORK!
You know, the beach spread where you wrote that "it doesn't feel that chilly"? Has a sublimal message that says HOT, which is the word "beach"...so maybe that's why it doesn't feel cool, if you had wrote "snow", I bet it would feel chillier! I think this is very interesting that color and words can play against each other. Now I've learned something too! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)
I had to laugh at Sandee's analysis, but she may have something. I know words have powerful impact on color and color has powerful impact on words. What I really liked were the primary and tertiary colors you chose for your color wheel. Thanks for adding to this lesson. It is much appreciated.
Elle your pages are coming along so nicely. I am intrigued with how you found so many of the right colors to make your color wheel in fruits and nuts. I love the blue page...blues are my hearthrob. Happy creating dear...
Love the pages Elle, great job my lovely. I particularly love the way you have fitted the colour wheel into your theme. The paisley section on the left hand page is very pretty, where did you find that one?
hugs x
Love all your pages, I agree that the beach does have a warm suggestion as does the sunbathing image and the swimmer. Perhaps cold water and iced tea would help. the vibrant colours of the warm page do really suggest heat. Love them
It is so interesting to visit everyone and see how they presented the color wheel--yours is really unique! I liked your warm and cool pages and agree that words affect how you feel looking at them.
