I must be fully recovered because I have an irresistible urge to spring clean!
I will be starting a new program with my young gal so I do actually need to reorganize some of my supplies. I'm also notorious for starting from the furthest back position. So I am down in the depths of the basement and I am sorting and simplifying with a determination that is pretty fierce. I am so tired of moving stuff around and never finding what I am looking for. The basement was revamped to do wet crafts a couple of years ago when I discovered fabric dyeing. But the ceiling is too low and it is just too dark and dreary. Would you believe,, at 5' 2", I barely clear the duct work? So I'm bringing up the craft stuff and pitching anything that isn't necessary for laundry, minor repairs, and seasonal clothing. The pantry is down there and has its own corner and we keep that pretty organized.
So far, I have carried out 6 boxes and a bag for the thrift shop. Then I took about another half dozen to the burning bin which is the inside of an old mix mill hopper. It is terrribly windy and there is a burning ban so I'll just store it there till I can burn it. I had saved boxes, plastic bags, gift wrap stuff and all kinds of old bits of stuff for mixed media. It is no longer pristine and there is only so much stuff one can save. My tastes have also changed and it was a great ah ha moment when I realized most of this stuff no longer appealed. So a huge sigh of relief to have so much gone and only a smaller amount to organize properly.
Nothing photo worthy, unless it would be my grin!

And A Grin Will Do! That'll do! Good job, girl. You'll sleep great tonite!
P.S. (small, tiny voice): more stuff comin' your way! XO
First of all...great news you are feeling better and full of energy. Spring cleaning and organizing is a very good thing. Smart girl to get rid of stuff that no longer appeals...more will always come along. Your smile is definitely photo fantastic. Happy cleaning...
What is this spring cleaning obsession that has taken over all my friends? Is it a compulsion? Of course, I didn't throw as much away as you did, but I cleaned and cleaned and cleaned until I was crazy. Still have the kitchen to do, since it is the last room. It needs the deepest cleaning of all!
Glad you are feeling better, and I think a grin is all it takes to make me happy to read you are better. Sorry I have been offline so long. I've missed a LOT!!
I find that just so satisfying to take bags of stuff from the house. I guess you really have recovered!
I just bagged up 3 garbage bags of fabric that I had accumulated over time to donate to a sale. Some of it was 30 years old or more. I feel like I have a big weight removed from my shoulders:) I always felt like I had to make something from it but no inspiration came.
