Lets start small

The Miniature Mania
The above are the real deal but it all started with a cheater fabric I believe.  I bought a yard of fabric with printed quilt blocks in greens and reds. Gosh, that must have been almost thirty years ago!  :O  For some reason they intrigued me and I challenged myself to make as many different examples of red and green quilts as I could.

And it was a successful challenge because I really did eventually get everything but a few slivers into these little quiltlets!

the bottom one was tea dyed

the bottom one was an added idea

Kinda useless as they aren't even good for placemats!  But I learned lots about what I like and don't like.  And that is a treasure in itself!

I'm linking up with A Quarter Inch from the Edge for Throwback Thursday.

They are cute. And maybe one of your grandkids has a doll who needs a quilt or 10?

These are wonderful little quilts. They look beautiful displayed on a wall...maybe inside a larger empty frame to bring focus to the quilt. Enjoy each and every one dear...

Wow ...that's a lot of miniatures ! Just working that small would have ended the challenge for me ;)
I like the idea of displaying them ... such a shame to tuck them away, unseen, for another decade or two !
They are lovely !

They may not be useful, but they sure are beautiful!

Looks like you were ahead of the curve, Elle! Making mini minis before it was trendy! Thanks for linking up with Throwback Thursday @ A Quarter Inch from the Edge!

They may seem useless now, but back then those miniatures were all the rage in groupings on the wall. (Ask someone who's been there!) And now they're back again as mini's--sort of what I think of as modern social calling cards, with everyone trading them. They could be mug rugs for two if they aren't big enough for place mats. Thanks for sharing. I like your name "quiltlets."

These are great. They may be small but they add up to a lot. I agree with JanineMarie if you don't want them on the wall they would make great mug rugs.

Wow, you made so many of these! You really got your red and green groove on! I think it was clever to start that way. And of course, everything we make we learn so much from.
